Dumb Dumb

It won't be long before LEOs and Fire Fighters are at odds. When that happens, LEOs with be on the losing end of the stick.

Keep in mind, LEOs are paid to ruin peoples lives, Fire fighters are paid to save peoples lives (and property). This video is proof positive of that fact.

I don't wanna hate em all, I've known and worked for some good ones, but some of em are just stupid and little control freaks.
some are just in it for the "benefits".
We've had some things happen around here in recent years that put a lot of our LEO in bad spotlight, but I came across a video recently of a cop I worked for, pulling over another cop for swerving and driving like an idiot.
the other cop tried to use the "im a cop you cant pull me over" and wouldnt obey his orders.
The other cop went back to his car and shortly after, headquarters told him to let him go.
I called him up and personally thanked him for trying to put a stop to some of our local corruption, even if he didnt succeed.
The video went semi viral here, so maybe that helped the cause

Stupid cop didn't have enough brains to know that the fire fighter was using the truck to protect the firefighters that were working, and to protect the people involved in the accident.
This cop was beyond stupid, and should be fired or suspended for such idiot behavior.

And I am not one that typically goes on anti cop rants.

They keep saying "detained"..he was arrested big difference..However, id like to hear all of the FACTS and the LEO's version and not just see a media clip before i make judgement..

If the arrest was merely for blocking traffic with the fire truck and refusing to move it, the LEO is really putting the liability on himself for jeopardizing the injured party at the accident..

Doesn't seem to me LEO was jeopardizing the injured party at the scene, in fact blocking the injured with either a fire truck, police cruiser or ambulance is quite common all across the country. In a lot of places it is protocol to use this kind of protection for the injured as well as emergency personnel. In this particular incident where the truck was parked, traffic could still get through.

That is semantics. When you are stopped from doing something, you are being arrested, though in the LEO world, that might have a different meaning.

I do agree, but from everything I have read, and heard, it does not appear to be a good PR move for CHP.

And this is the latest. It appears that the fire fighter was detained simply because he refused to move the fire truck. In my opinion, the CHP should be embarrassed.

This article is interesting, because it appears a CHP officer had a paramedic leave so that the truck could be moved, while the paramedic was in the process of treating someone. That is just insane.

The legal definition of "detained" is ARRESTED, even if it was for only 30 minutes and then released. The fire fighter has legal recourse for false arrest.

Yeah any time you are not free to go it's arrested. This detained stuff is sorta new and catching on around the US.If you are not smart enough to figure out what to do kinda like a time out.The firefighter could get payed big time if he wanted.A good detain situation if you pull up to a area with a lot of things going on people squealing blood flying type of deal but defiantly not the time here.I bet mr policeman got an earful and was told to let him go ASAP.
