Downstream Injection

Russ I installed a new downstream injection on my machine a couple of days ago. Now with the wand off and water just running out of my high pressure hose my guage is reading 2000 psi.. I know its not reading right ``` because not much water is coming out... When I put the gun and wand on I get 3100 psi like normal.. and when I let off the gun I get about a 400 psi spike to 3500 psi.. With the soap nozzle on I get about 1500 to 2000 psi... I also tried pluging off the tube on the downstream injection and it seems to help with the guage miss reading when the gun is off the hose .. I wonder if the downstream injector is having trouble with the hot water and harsh chemical and the ball inside the injection system thing is not making ( full close) Could this cause my pressure reading to be messed up ? The downstream Injection that I bought is pretty inexpensive it does not seem to be adjustable ..maybe I should have paid a little more for a good one.... Also are there different tempature ratings for the downstream injectors ? Just Curious...

If the gauge is on the head of the pump, you will see back pressure from an injector...it has an orifice very similar to a nozzle. Does the machine run properly with the gun and nozzle attached? (It sounds like it does). Does it draw soap? If so...everything is fine. The orifice may be a little small for your machine, but this will actually help draw soap through longer discharge hose lengths.

Cool , thanks ... It does draw soap thru 200 feet of hose.. I am really going to give it a try tonight when we clean Olive Garden.. I have to do the hood cleaning... But on the concrete cleaning I am thinking about siphoning some bleach or chlorine mixture to see if it will go quicker .. Once again thanks for the help....
