Downdraft system - another nice one.

I inspected this place yesterday. Worst downdraft I have ever seen. It is over 35 years old.

Although there are some access doors to the filter housings and plenums (doors on the opposite "waitress side" of the serving line) there are no access doors at all to the horizontal duct that runs about 40 feet under the kitchen floor.
Only 1 door exists at the bottom of the vertical shaft.

Scary stuff :eek:

Yeah--> im suprised alot of the places I see haven't burnt down from neglect.
That looks like it could very well be a health issue also. Bacteria farm in progress.
