Being in the Southeast we do mildew, concrete, hoods and the like. I was curious because a friend lives in Las Vegas and wanted to break in the pressure washing business.......here's the question:
What is the nature of business out west. Hoods, fleets? Just curious so I will know the direction to point him in.
Ya'll have a good one.

Claude why not invite your friend to join this BBS and read, research the things that interest him and ask questions.

Then he will get a better prepective of the business as a whole.

Do you know what he wants to specialize in?

Jon

I agree Jon I think he is investigating all areas and knows nothing of any of them so I was attempting to steer him in a particular direction.
Vegas does have a lot of everything like concrete and hood cleaning. I think I will send him to the boards and let him wade in and investigate on his own.
Thanks folks.

I think Vagas is the only place that certification is required for vent-a-hood cleaning by the ahj in area, I could be wrong since i am a rookie...

thanks

Matt,
Don't sell yourself short, its not just rookies that can be wrong, seasoned pros make mistakes too!

Hood cleaners are required to be certified, what ever that means. Contact the Las Vegas FD for info.

The State of Nevada requires that the person who is supervising job site take a test plus a $600 fee. The test for what I have been told covers NFPA 96 and Nevada code as regards to Exhaust Cleaning. If you have multi crews each crew must have a Nevada Cert. Cleaner. Another way to tax.

Maybe it's not so much a tax as to make sure you a) do what you are suppose to and b) don't burn the place down!

Sure that why it's $600-per crew. Please! From what I understand the test is a joke. It's always about taxes.

A) Yes
B) Yes
