Distributor assistance

try3rdhand

New member
I have developed a low-cost accessory which reduces hand fatigue while operating cleaning guns of various styles and guages. The distributor response has been going well, but I would like suggestions that would introduce this product on a larger scale. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated[URL=www.try3rdhand.com

Just out of curiosity.

Does not a product that locks OPEN a trigger gun violate the intent or letter of the OSHA law?

I know that trigger guns are only allowed to lock closed not open and there must be a safety related legislated reason for doing so.

NOT wanting to put any water on anyone's flame of innovation just curious.

3rdhand

I investigated this issue for sometime before persuing options with 3rdHand. In conversations and reviews of OSHA standards relating to this topic, there are no guidelines covering a TEMPORARY locking system, The design of the wedge lock and safety wrist harness make this product temporary, and allows quick release. Only permanent locks such as existing ones on guns today are discussed. As a note, Ergonomics and other repetitive motion injuries (such as carpal tunnel syndrome) are also a growing concern to OSHA and are mentioned to employers that steps should be taken to assist persons in reducing repetitive motion injuries.
