Where suppose to get our first snow here Wednesday. 2-4 inches. Hard to believe when today was 57 degrees. I blew out all my hoses,Extension wands,Surface Cleaners and Put antifreeze in my Powerwashers.

Don't forget to winterize before you get winterized;)

Winterized it for the first time on Thursday...........and I already moved the snow plow to the front of the garage...........looks like I might need it Wednesday.......................but I'll believe that when I see it!

Been doing it for about 3 weeks here in Iowa, been dipping down to 25 at night, but warming back up to 50 to 60 degrees during the days...

Been in the 30's at night and the high 30's to low 40's during the day. I bought an electric heater w/ a t-stat for 50.00 and put it in the garage, now it doesn't go below 55 in there. I am thinking about expanding my garage and adding one of those gas heaters attached to the ceiling with a blower like the ones you see in mechanics garages and such. Not till next year at the earliest though.

Got all my equipment ready for winter. Then the phone rang, with a customer that has three homes she needs washed. I hate to turn down work... so back on the trailer.

Why dont you pick up some fleet washing?
Then you wont have to worry about putting your equipment away.

Ron,
I have never done fleet work for some reason.
I'm not sure on priceing that kind of work.
Can you give me some tips on getting and priceing fleet work?
I would love to keep working in the winter time.
I do gutters but dont really put the effort in advertising for them.
Remember, I have a full time job also.

you are perfect

to pick up one or two small fleet's that no one want's to bother with. Guy's with one or two trucks.
If your not hurting for the work, price them high or cash only.
With the short days you only need some weekend work.
You only need 4 or 5 customers.
All most everyone has trucks. Try to stick with box trucks in the beginning. Delevery trucks. Furniture trucks, lumber yards, anything where the people have spent a lot of money on lettering or there name is high value.
You get the customer, I/we will teach you how.
You will need to spend some to make some. Equip. and chem.
You do have a hot water unit dont you?
