Depth Gauge Comb

Anyone know where to purchase a depthgauge comb as stated in the
NFPA 96 Fire Codes. Annex A A.11.6.2 Been looking on line and nothing, nowhere. Did they just make this gauge up? Looks like a tool for depth used in woodworking.
Can anyone translate the measurement example
50(upside down h)m (0.002in)

2000 (upsidedown h)m. What the hell does that mean? it is 0.078 in ok Can I find that on a ruler?

I don't know anything about kitchen exhaust cleaning but I do know that that upside down u looking thing is the symbol for micro. So its micrometers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micro- can clarify.

Do you have a picture of this gauge or a link to a picture ? I have worked in many machine shops and seen just about every measuring device there is. The measurement you put out there (0.002) is 2 thousands of an inch about the thickness of a human hair.
 
IKECA has them, not sure who else has them-Delco?. Anyone who wants one give me a call.
