Deeper Facebook integration

I think you guys while your at doing upgrades should consider some deeper facebook integration. You can now with VB 4 log in and like thread to face book.. But you can take it a step further..

I installed this hook up the other day and its so sick, our users are loving it. Check out any random post:

Look all the way at the bottom youll see Ive figured out how to push the thread to FB, so people can comment from facebook on the post and it will appear in the thread.. Its really upped our participation..


I have one more super deeply integrated FB feature coming in a week or so, its going to be extra cool.

There is a Facebook like button
 
Yes, but there is a "like" button which posts a link on your facebook page.
More to come, I promise.

Using this feature will disable Forum Rules Agreement, Coppa registration, email verification, as well as any custom required fields from the registration form.

Chris, can you send me a PM with a link to the addon that you installed to do this?

Also, are you using an addon for the badges you have on your site?

Hey Mike, the badge system is just the standard "award mod" - Then I just photoshoped those badges. Its a real pain to use, and with every badge you give someone a template edit is required. So we dont give to may out :)

Im not in front om my pc, but if you do a search on vb.org I believe its just called fb comments for VB - I believe it was mod of the month not to long ago, so it shouldn't be hard to find.

We have it on TGS, have for a while.
