The only thing that bothers me about Yahoo live is this, I have chatted live in the past and really enjoyed getting to know some of the guys in the biz, but if I choose not to log on and chat for what ever reason, they are some who choose to use "Excessive Vulgarity to the guests.
You have know idea who these guests are, they could be potential customers and if they are like me, they will research the person and their company that is cursing them out and rest assured for what little its worth, they will not get the job or respect we try so hard to receive from our peers.
Personally when someone curses me (guest) before I sign in, Its going to be a given that I don't sign in and join in carry on a civil conversation with that person.
 
Yeah I don't get that ether. Most just usually ask the guest to identify who they are and if they don't they get booted. That makes sense if you want to keep it to PWI members. Which is the way it was explained to me.

Someone was on last night pulling that "Excessive Vulgarity" stuff. I don't want to be associated with that ether. Like alcohol, being insulated by hundreds of miles of wire seems to bring out the tough guy in some.
 
I thought it was just me and was afraid to bring this up..your absolutely
right both of you....its like they are angry sometimes ..I'm just trying to see if its a conversation I might join in.....just checking the water as a guest before signing in
 
Are chat has been pretty good lately. I have purchased another site and new channel. Its private and cannot be interupted by idiots.

I need help staffing the open chats for sure.

Some of these so called "Idiots" as you so eloquently put it, are not strangers to the board, I have read their posts many times.
I am not suggesting shutting it down, it is a great tool! All I am saying is it would be nice if they followed the same guidelines as PWI and other boards.
