Death Valley

After an article in the paper about this being the third largest flower bloom in history for Death Valley, we're going to pack up the beast with a full load of 4 adults and three kids and head over there in the morning.

We've already seen furnace creek, Scotty's castle, Titus Canyon, the dunes and the campgrounds - are there any spots any of you guys know about that would be good to go to on a day trip? I'd like to go see the Racetrack Playa where the rocks move but no one ever sees them, but I don't know how the car will do on that road.

Any suggestions?

We decided to stay closer to home and look for flower blooms at the Valley of fire and Lake Mead because they were doing something special at church that Shelly didn't want to miss. We had a GREAT time. It was nice to have a weekend completely off!

All the flower pics were taken within a 400 square foot area. So much for thinking the desert is dead.

It's so fitting that Jesus' resurrection happened in the springtime. The whole creation was made to reflect his glory.
