I've been a big fan of the show since season 1 and always liked Phil and the CM crew the most.

The sad part is that he will not be able to watch his kids mature and grow as men. The other part is that I have met many of the old hands. They were there in Dutch Harbor when I was in the late 80's and early 90's. Great bunch of guys and I remember all the boats that are on the show. I have seen them come in covered with ice and the wheel house windows blown out. You have to be crazy to work out in that weather.
