Am I the only one that would love to take a ride on that DODGE motorcycle?
0 to 60 in 2.1 sec. and tops out at 400mph.!!!!!!!!!!
man i would love to take that baby out to the salt flats.
The most fun you can have with your clothes on.
a big V-10. Set up as a cross between a quad and a motorcyle.
I just went to the motorcycle show in NY.
The newest HONDA was most impressive.
Only because that dodge was not there.
Wonder what it feels like to get hit in the head with a june bug at 400 mph? What would you make the face shield out of?
if you picked up your head would the force just blow you off the bike?
Tim allen must have been in on this one. lol

That sounds like it would be neat to go to. I am a Harley fan myself but maybe Dodge is onto something here. They can't build a truck... maybe motorcycles will be thier nitch. LOL

I have a Dodge so I know.

You must have a crappy Dodge. I had a Crappy Ford and I sold it after I blew the transfer case. Today I have Dodge Cummings Diesel Dually 3500. This Truck is a superior species. Never had a problem with it and it rides like the wind....with Tornado Strength.;)

I agree. they are all crappy. I have a 1998 1 dually 3500 4 door long box. Front end... steering geer boxes... you name it. I don't think this one was babied before I got it though. I don't like the steering and the play in it. It also rides too much like a truck. I would much rather the Ford. Plus the International will out-pull and out-last that 6 cyl cummins.... after a few turbo's of course. LOL.

A truck is a truck.

cummins vs powerstroke

John T, Sorry to hear you drive a Dodge. LOL Cummins is owned by Ford. Im on my second PSD. Looked at the new 6.0 PSD for 03.....sweet! Really nice. But 40K + for a Crewcab..... ouch! Anyway .... Id rather be Stroked than Rammed.

Michael T.

Not quite, Ford tried to buy it to prevent Dodge from using the engine but Dodge has a long term contract Ford cannot break.

Dodge gets much better milage then Ford and I know as I have had a few Dodges.

Like my Ford PowerStroke but hate the 12 mpg.

Dodge was something like 17 mpg.

Ford wish they had a superior engine like the Cummings Diesel. Thats probably the reason they tried to buy it in the first place. Nice try on there part. The only company that could pull that off in there field is the NY Yankees and they are perenial WINNERS.(Unfortunetly I'm a Met Fan)

One of the reasons why I got the Cummings Diesel is like Jon said Superior gas Mileage and a Rock solid Reputation.

Did you ever notice that Ford ended up copying Dodge Trucks Front end in style? I know Scott Stone diagrees with me on this but the evidence is out there. Just look at the Boxy looking FOrd Trucks of four years ago compared to the stylish Dodge Trucks. Now They look similiar. What does that tell you?? If you can't beat the Champ you might as well jump on there Bandwagon.:D

For Gav:
The early Bonnevilles would top out at 149 mph - fast for the time. I know - I had several and they would accelerate like a 500cc motocrosser.

Clean County,

Lol. Now you are being silly. I have had 2 cummins and 3 powerstrokes and guess which one I'd buy again? Powerstroke.

That International has proven itself again and again. They have experienced some problems with the turbos but that is it.

The bigger, the better, the more fuel they suck. Ford will do circles around the Dodge and what makes it nice is Ford will stay on the road.

One day you will drive that Dodge John and you'll hit a bump on the highway and your front end will loose control and you will find out just how easy a 1 ton dodge can hop like a rabbit at 70 mph. Dodge sucks.

One other thing. Resale value on the Dodge is no where near the Ford. Oh, Ford has cornered the market on heavy duty trucks for many years and continues to dominate in that department. Dodge sells half as many heavy duty trucks.

I know of several car hauling companies and expediting services that hire out. Guess what? They require you have a Ford, not a Dodge.

The 6 cylinder Cummins they have slapped in the Dodge for years is definately a good enging. I won't argue that. If you don't want pulling power and you are looking for a man's truck that rides like a lumber wagon, Dodge is it.

Just a little insight. Not to cause an argument but I have been on both sides of the spectrum and I currently have a Dodge. This will be the last Dodge I buy. I could actually spit nails I am so pissed with the Dodge. The steering sucks too. Eaton makes the steering gear box and it is a lemon now for years....

This ought to get some chevy fans going .>> LOL

I didn’t want to start about Dodge versus Ford because my father told me never purchase a dodge truck.

I have never owned a dodge truck I have had dodge cars and I was happy with them. I can only ad that I have a couple diesel trucks one with 800,000 and another with 500,000 and I have done no major repairs on the blocks. Knock on wood!!!!!

My one year old power stroke isn’t getting the mileage my 2000 gets. I have 70,000 on it after about 16 months.

I think Chevy’s are prettier and have nicer interiors than both trucks. I just feel ford is a little heavier than the comp.

Dodge has had problems with breaks, how ever at the auto show I did see there new HD version and it does look more appealing. If I ever bought a dodge it would be a dually with a diesel.

For a work truck I cant beat 800,000 I just wish I had never bought gasoline motors ever.

Justin,

I have to disagree with you , i had to put two transmmison in my 1999 ford powerstroke , i may have just had a lemmon , anyway i'am very happy with my dodge

Justin,
LOL. You owned 2 Cummings and 3 Powerstrokes and once again you own a Dodge. You sound Confused. Why would you go back to a Dodge when Fords have been so good for you. Easy answer..you know Dodge's rule...Evidence...you now own one again after owning Fords....Unless the hidden reason is because the Repo man has been taking your trucks:D :D (Just Having fun..at your expense.:D)

Yes I know that big gas Guzzler Ford Powerstroke is a strong engine but I wanted an engine that is strong enough and has good mileage along with an excellent reputation and the only engine that fits that bill...You guess it The one and only CUMMINGS DIESEL.:)

Yes Ford is the biggest selling Truck as far as numbers go but hey for years the volkswagon Beatle was a huge seller but I'll always take the Porshe over it just like the Dodge Truck over the Ford.:)

john,

LOL. I bought the dodge because it was dirt cheap. Only 1 ton diesel dually I know of that a guy can buy a 98 for just a little over $10,000.00. I couldn't buy a 98 Ford for that or I would have. It was just a good price and it popped up... good timing with excellent terms. Now I sit here and ... hey it's for sale. I had a ford boxvan with 300,000 miles on it that sold for more than I bought this for.

I am actually not partial to any of the big 3. I think they all suck. LOL. But when it comes down to a work truck, Ford is the only one.

I agree with you John on the cummins Diesel. It is a good 6 cylinder diesel.. always has been reliable. Too bad it is in a dodge. When you have owned yours for a few years, come back to this post and see if you are still singing that same song. lol.

Have you ever owned a Ford with the international?

Justin,
I used to own an 86 Ford 150 Flareside. This Truck had oversized tires and a 3"lift. THe paint job was new due to a factory recall. Somewhere I have a picture of it and if I come across it I will post it. This was a beautiful truck. Obviously it wasn't the right kind of truck to have for this business due to the flareside fenders which minimized the bed space.

I eventually blew the Transfer case on it and I sold it like that and I still got the same money that I paid for the truck in the first place. Yes Fords are great for re-sale. This is when I bought My Dodge and have been loving it ever since. I was just breaking balls with you about Fords. They are great trucks.

The best vehicle I ever owned up to this point was my 86 Ford Convertable Mustang GT. IT was Black and beautifull. How I miss that Black beauty. Its like they say once you go Black you always go back...WHich is why my Dually is black.

I think that's "you'll never go back", and I don't think they were talking about trucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
