How many people operate via contracts and week to week/month to month accounts?
 
We have done contract cleaning for a long time now..
 
How do you get the contract though? No one wants to sign a contract around here
 
first of all dont call it a contract, call it a maintenance agreement

And Johnathan at the expense of sounding lke a smart azz I beg to differ, we currently clean over 40 commercial peoperties in the Atlanta area, in fact we will be in Johns Creek, Marietta, Roswell, Canton, Peach Tree City and Newnan and lets see Griffin, Cumming, Duluth and a few more in Metro Atlanta in the next week and they are for 5 different companies all on maintenance agreements
 
What do you do, send guys over to stay the whole week or do they drive back and forth each night?

So what's the secret of success Russ? No really I don't expect you to tell us in public, but can you give us some hints? Do you just send letters like Jeff LeCours does in SC? Do you market directly to the PM's? I'm not looking to break out into PM Companies any time soon really, I'm still part time, but would like to start learning now if possible.
 
I dont think there is any one way , I feel we all have to find what works for each of us. To answer your question I would say that most is from direct marketing, targeting a audience that I choose and then going after it with guns blazing. Never take no for an answer, keep asking follow Chris Gibson's ABC theory - Always Be Closing, remember they all need your service you just have to find a way to make them understand that they do!

That's what I thought, wasn't sure, just need confirmation. I have some good ideas that I will put into place before long. Thanks for the reply!
