Complaints!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We all get them, complaints complaints complaints!!!!!

I adopted a new attitude the other day, about four weeks ago I said Ron!, lets see if we can tell someone they are great instead of complaining.

In the last couple of days I have been praising good service. I was eating at this restaurant the other day and told the waiter to get me the manager. He looked surprised and didn’t know why I wanted the manager. The manager came over expecting to hear his normal complaint. I informed him that the food was great and the service was exceptional. He was dumb founded, he was shocked that I was not complaining and I threw him off guard. He thanked me and left the table. A few minutes later the waiter walked over and was excited and said he was buying us desert because people always complain but never take the time to praise anyone for good service.

I was at my wireless store the other day and did the same thing. I called the regional manager because I watched this kid behind the counter bend over and make this pissed customer happy. I have been going in this location for three years and practically know these guys. I have given them gift certificate that I trade with customers for service. I realized these guys give everyone good service. I was wondering if there boss knew how good they were. I called her and told her she informed me that she receives more good word on these two guys than all other employees put together.

My last one I actually took it a step further. I wrote a letter about this gentleman. I sent his to his immediate supervisor. I called the store a few days later about a difficulty I was having using the phone. Normally you would need to call there national order center for replacement. They took care of it right on the phone and I was up and running again. The manager remembered my name and again I was thanked for the kinds words. He had forwarded the letter to his boss.

I’m not say praising people who don’t deserve it or expect something in return, I’m just sharing with you what my experience’s have been. I also receive a call this week with a referral, karma maybe? I had a customer call and tell us we are doing a great job. So for the three I have had I received two. I think I’m going to keep this up and stop complaining and start praising. I have even done better with my employees.

I will be looking for people doing a great job. When I see it I will tell someone. Its easy to complain!

Ron,
It is always good to hear a good word. I try to thank people sometimes for just doing their job, the ones that people take for granite. It's like the idea of the movie Play it Forward. keep it up and it will be rewarded in time, like you said.

I got a check from a new account this week. Enclosed was a note "Jon is a great guy to do business with" I can hardly wait to give the note to Jon, he'll be so pumped up. Compliments do work!

I’m going crazy, I just sent my Glass company a letter telling them how much I appreciate there service.

I also sent one to a restaurant I had trouble in and the manager took care of the problem. He didn’t asked what I wanted, that’s was a relief, he just made it right.

Guys try it. It feels great!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Macayo’s location at 6012 W Bell Rd, Glendale.

Conrad was the manager on duty during an incident I was unfortunate enough to encounter while visiting the Macayo’s location at 6012 W Bell Rd, Glendale.

I am pleased to report that Conrad handled the dilemma quickly and efficiently. Instead of wasting more of my time, he effectively took charge of the situation and resolved it to my complete satisfaction.

I have been a patron of Macayo’s for many years and because of Conrad’s service will continue to be.

The management skills that Conrad displayed should be commended. You are lucky to have a person with the exceptional customer service skills he displayed.

Sincerely,

Ron Musgraves
