Commercial Sidewalk Pricing

For commercial concrete cleaning you need a repeatable system of doing the job so you or you and your guys do it the same way each time so they are not fumbling around wondering what to do wasting time and eating into profits.

You need larger gpm machines and surface cleaners but the surface cleaners are sized to your pressure washers by the rule of thumb of 4" of deck per 1 gallon per minute of pressure washer pump output. You don't just buy a huge surface cleaner and hope for the best. That is not how it works and the guys that don't follow advice are soon selling their huge surface cleaners since they will not work with their systems.

You need good chemicals that help on the job, some jobs need recovery, some do not.

We cannot teach you everything here in a couple of paragraphs, you will need to go out there and learn the craft, become more efficient and price accordingly to what makes you a good profit, nobody knows your overhead and expenses so your profit will be different from everyone else's profit so asking what is the going rate is a question that is very hard to answer and not many if any will tell you what they charge as competition is watching all the time, your competition and mine as well whether you realize it or not.

You need to decide how much to charge so you pay your expenses and make a profit, nobody can do that for you. This should make good sense, if not then you should take some business classes and learn about business to help yourself understand the fundamentals of business.

I have seen as low as $0.01 to $0.55 per sq.ft. depending on the size of the job. Everyone's overhead and profit is different.

Some guys are setup to clean 50,000 sq.ft. to 200,000 sq.ft. per night and are highly efficient with multiple rigs and people so they will charge less but they are still making profit because they can go in there and get it done fast.

Someone with only one machine doing it by themself will not be that fast or efficient will have to charge more and will have to stick to the smaller jobs until they can handle the larger jobs efficiently.

Well I got the contract! Price guestimated it at $95/hr since I was unsure about sq/ft price.
I'll have to measure when I go to do the job and see what it came out to per sq/ft. And if I was right about how much time it would take!
Thanks all for your replies and private message help.

Way to go. Now document wash time so you can calculate production. Wear a watch, checking your phone doesn't work.

Are the store managers going to pay you out of a store "petty cash" or do you bill walmart corporate? Just curious, gaining access to Walmart or Sam's is a super PITA- I had to go through literally hours of paperwork before getting vetted as a Walmart Vendor. Super PITA

A maintenance company that cleans the parking lots regularly subcontracted me to pressure wash. He will pay me as soon as I bill him.

Depending on your contractor, the definition of and services included in site preparation and site work may change. Also Giving a precise price range for this is challenging because the prices of installation will vary greatly based on the depth, size of the material, and the type of pipe being installed. To figure out how much square footage you'll need, multiply the walkway's width by its length.

Installing a concrete sidewalk can cost, on average, $8.63 per square foot, with a usual range between $5.89 and $12.

Wow! 😳 I haven't been on this site in years. This was always the best forum for information. I learned alot here. ❤️
