Got a large project you need product on hand for? Would you rather store drums than pails?

Beginning July1st, Extreme Solutions will be selling Wood Tux in 55 gallon drums in addition to the popular 5 gallon pails.

Drum pumps will be available too.

Details coming soon!

The discount details will be released shortly. There may be a prerelease promo on this item, so stay tuned! You can use a long paddle attachment to stir it.

I would never use a 55 gallon drum of stain/sealant. First, kind of heavy to get in the truck or on the trailer. Next, stirring is a problem, the paddle won't stir it enough, needs to be shaken and my local sherwin williams doesn't have a machine that big to shake it for me. next, why keep going back and forth to pump out stain when you can walk back and forth and just pick up 5 gallon pails. not saying there is anything wrong with the 55 gallon idea, just I would never use it?

Cedar homes, log homes.... those are the projects I tend to think of. They're thinking about 30 gallon drums too, but are not certain if they will release them. I think it makes wonderful sense for large projects.

I completley understand your thinking, but, Do painters use paint in 55 gallon drums? I just think it would be very hard to transport a 55 gal drum. Have to remember, there are a lot of people that may not have a trailer. Ever tried to get a 55 gal drum in to the back of a prick up, by your self. I have, it wasn't fun and takes some imagination. Getting it out is a little easier. But hey, you never know, you may start a new way to do work, for stainers and painters.

It wasn't my idea, but hey... for some guys it may work.

Looks like the 30's are not far off either.
