Cleaning Roofs???

I recently got a job to clean a hotel roof, it was very bad with mildew!!! The one thing was the owner did not want pressure used on the roof, he wanted a garden hose used. He said it wood ruin the shingles on the roof. I used bleach staight on the roof and it did not even change the way it looked so I turned down the job until I can find something else that works better. The owner said to come back when I can find a cleaner that can do the job. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas?
Has anyone used commercial bleach? Commercial bleach says to allways dulte 50/50 would that not be less than the cheap stuff that you can get at Wal-mart? The commercial bleach is $6 a gallon and a half.

go to the local chemical supplier and purchase sodium hypochlorite 13%.

it is 6 times stronger than the bleach you purchase at wal mart and its $1.28 gallon.

And take more precautions when working with the above...........safety goggles, gloves, etc.

Also, wet roofs are slippery................

Good luck.

Check out http://www.thecleanernetwork.com Glenn runs the site and he has some good roof cleaner called renew. I think it would work with a garden hose too
