Cleaning Driveway with "white" blotches

I have a driveway to clean which has white "blotches" as a result of using car tire cleaners and spraying silicon on the tires. I know that I can use my surface cleaner, but do I need to use any other chemicals to spot treat? Any assistance would be appreciated.

if i am not mistaken, you will catch He&& getting that out if you are able to get it out. I am sure others that deal with this type of issue very often will know what to do but an acid may work

I was not sure if hot water together with my surface cleaner would be sufficient. Some have previously discussed the use of oxalic acid, though I am not certain if I should pursue this path given its toxicity level.

Silicone is hard to remove even with our in house caustic mix LAVA I've not had great luck getting it all.

You can always clean it then upsell the sealing and just order a drum of armor all to finish what the home owners started...............lol.

P.S. Tire dressing should always be put on an applicator then put on the tire.

This may not help you, however I had some on our drive way. We hit 320 degrees at 2800 psi at 6 GPM's. I know our equipment is unique and the current pressure washers on the market cannot hit those levels, but these high temps will remove the silicone.

In your case....

Try putting your washer at the steam dial. This will reduce your GPM's and pressure, but you might.... MIGHT.... get it cleaner, though you will most likely not remove it. It will take allot of time with the reduced PSI and GPM's. In California, you cannot use acids to wash UNLESS you pick up every drop and take it to the EPA approved disposal site.

I think the most I can hit is 200 degrees as the temperature of the water will determine how much it can be heated...my rise temp is only 110oF, which means that if the water temp is 50of, then I can only heat the water to 160oF. I think some of the white blotches might even be attributed to tire cleaner as well.

use stripper,. the drive is sealed at the bottom of the tires when he sprayed his tires.
or seal the whole thing like scott said
