cleaning Brick

I need some help with this brick job. They only would like to clean the brick but I like to know why this part look so new. They had to remove graffiti off the wall. Does it look like they took off the face.

Have you done any testing? There's an awful lot of just splash up dirt. The brick may have been altered by the grafitti chemical but it's hard to say considering how "not clean" the other brick is.

I'd do a little test with muriatic acid on that bottom middle portion.Start with 5:1 (5 being water) mix.Spray it on and only let it sit only briefly maybe 15 secs. and pressure clean.

Looks like they could have possibly took the outer layer off......does te other bricks seem to have a finish on them,,,,like sand or some type of coloring?
Be careful dont want to be the one to get blamed for this,,,,,,,,,if the finish is gone from the brick the only way I would not to try to fix it would be to blend the difference look out of it....but still you will not be able to make it all look the same.

That looks like someone used primer to paint over the graffiti then had someone pressure wash it. If you notice over on the right side of the picture you can still see blue paint bleeding through. I've seen it done a few times around here the property owner buys red clay coloured primer paints it. Then there not happy with it so the call out some to pressure wash it. If this is the case that primer is hard to get off.

I agree with Richard it looks like they had some sort of sand finish or something on it. Does the mortar look like it has that brown on it? if so it may be just dirt, hard to tell.
