Chemical Filter Check Valves

Is there any particular advantage to having a check valve in your chemical filter used for down-streaming? Seems like just another part that could go bad. I always drop my chem line into my water tank after I finish soaping up something and pull fresh water through the filter, line and injector while I rinse. Just wanted to see if I was missing out on something by not having a check valve for my down-streaming jobs. However, I can see it's usefulness for a 12-volt pump setup so the pump doesn't loose prime when switching to a different tank. Thanks!

I tried using them but like you said, it is just another part to go bad, not worth the extra few cents for it.

I don't see a big need for them for most of the work I do.

The injector has a check valve in it...a check in the strainer is redundant, and if the injector check fails, it just blows the strainer off anyway. The checked strainers are good for upstream soap.
