Hello,


I have finnally produced a postcard (4"X6") for Hood, Duct & Fan Degreasing.

I have sent out 300 cards and 40 of them came back due to various reasons like:

ATTEMPED NOT KNOWN

NOT DELIVERABLE AS ADDRESSED UNABLE TO FORWARD

INSUFFICIENT ADDRESS

The ratio isn't really that bad, 40 out of 300 came back. I did pickup two new accounts so it did pay for itself.

I get restaurant addresses for a many different sources Yellow Pages, Internet, Drive By's and walkin's.

Where or what is the best way to get the most complete acurate address.


I was thinking of cold calling by phone but very time consuming.


What do you think of the postcard?

Yeah I went overboard on back with all the info I want to get out. Next printing will be a little more streamlined and to the point.
 
Yes I did can you tell, the next ones I make up will be brief and will talk discount and quality work. Not sure how to get the postcard into the decision maker hands. I'm getting a 1% return in calls from the postcards.
 
This is the card I just ordered...trying to target roof cleaning customers a bit more...I think this one will get their attention more than the other one. They'll be here Tuesday, I should have a good sized batch mailed by Friday, so we'll see.

They look nice and you should get a bigger response from those who have a clue. Mold + Roof = Roof Replacement.

Where do buy your postcards and how much per 1000?

postcard response

David -- back in the dark ages of early '70s, I tried my hand at selling and I was told that on most cold call mailings of postcard type ads, the response was about 1% !!! Looks like that hasn't changed much. I had not thought of postcards over here on the east side of metroplex. I plan on the door flyers/brochures in residential areas, though. I'm just trying to get started in the Pw biz.
