Checking spray pattern

On the waterjet Is it ok on the swivel (Dueblin) for me to hold the bars in place and turn the machine on to check the spray pattern on the tips?

We got some 25 degree tips today and if it works to stop the lines the barber will be out of business.

I went to Landa today and checked the spin on our unit against the spin on a new one and they were close to the same. A quick hand spin on our unit went around 9 times and their new unit went around 12 times. Both of them had a slight wobble, but nothing major.

should be ok Tony, I actually use a ball valve on my machines and when we have a tip problem I will hold onto the bar and turn on the flow just a little bit to see if the pattern is bad ( something in the tip or cracked or anything else)

I would not do it.

Great idea!

Well I have a mosmatic and I do it all the time just remember 1. hold bar 2. turn on water. Usually if there's a piece of schmootz in one of the tips you'll feel a wobble right away but not always. A quick glance at the pressure gauge will tell you right away - if its high, there's schmoootz. Believe it or not after your around it long enough you can hear when there is a clog from fifty feet away. Does that deuoueblin have a grease port? Try the 25's, try 40's, try everything, you'll never know if you don't try it out yourself!

It has a grease port and it's greased. We're trying the 25 today. Thanks

Tony,

It won't hurt a thing to hold the arms still. I won't insult you by telling you to be careful of the spray.
