Cedar Fence Restoration Gray Away Special Blend 3

It's been quiet here in the wood restoration forum so I thought I would add a little fence I worked on over the weekend.

The outside of the fence was stripped and brightened and the inside was cleaned and pressure washed.Total was around 375 Lft. using up about 15 gallons in just under 4 hrs to stain. I just love getting 165 sqft/gal on these old fences!

I really hate sprinklers not adjusted correctly to not hit the fence and cause damage to the soft cedar. The water has lot's of chlorine in it around here!

Shane awesome job. Question. Does the wind sometimes cause that or is pretty much poor sprinkler adjustment?

Thanks Doug ....

It poor adjustment and or placement where the heads are placed too close to the fence. Also the pop up misting heads need to be used more in place of the rotary type heads.

Your threads always look awesome Shane. Good work!

Thanks Gerald! I work on so many fences I could clean and stain them in my sleep !

Do you have any tips for getting in and around shrubs trees that are close to the wood you are working on?

You can use bed sheets to cover plants and a good size piece of cardboard to pull the plant back if you are alone. You can also tie a rope around some types bushes/plants to suck them up and get them off the fence.
