Cool, I look forward to seeing what you have. I'm always hesitant about buying stuff like this from the Depots or Lowes type places because they are always home-owner grade-- even though they always claim to be professional grade, they never are.

Are you referring to the DI tanks? If so, you can take them to your local Culigan or Siemens water place/store and ask them to replace the DI resin. Or you can order it from WCR (Window Cleaning Resource) and they will ship it to you and you just put it in yourself.

That looks sweet, but I wonder how long it would take to recoup the cost on such a heavy-duty pre-filter. When used fir extending the life of DI resin, I wonder if it would take a couple years to see a savings.

I do want one though, and I like the 20gpm rate which I'm thinking might come in handy if running multiple poles.
 
I figure if you use up a set of de-I tanks per month, and you get twice the volume per set,
you break-even in only 10-12 months
the bonus is..
..you don't destroy pumps any more,
and you don't lose customers to downtime.
..potentially thousands of dollars in benefit.
