How to wash them in the winter? Do you need anything special?

If it is below freezing I think I read someplace to use windshield washer fluid. That is with a scrubber and a squeegee.

We have. It can make for a tiring day when you have to trudge thru deep snow to do your job. Makes me appreciate the mailmans efforts.

Most of this winter we had a large amount of snow on the ground.
This was from this past Tuesday. All week was in a melting trend, but I was up to my knees where I took the picture.

No, we can't wash window in winter time. Because in winter the main problem with cold weather window cleaning is that the water freezes on the glass surfaces before you have a chance to squeegee the glass.

That's why you add an alcohol to the water to keep it from freezing. We use isopropyl and have worked in temps as low as -25F
