We used our Camelbaks yesterday, sealing up a deck. Not a drop leaked. The bite valves are designed not to leak, and as you release the mouth piece while it's in your mouth, it closes and shuts off the water.
Rod is wearing the Viper, and I have on the High Viz Orange. The Viper has dual control on it. In addition to the bite valve, it has an on/off position near the bite valve so you can cut the water on or off.
