Calling back potential customers

How soon do you call a customer after an initial estimate?

Lets say, A customer calls, and i go give them an estimate. They say "great, let me talk to my wife and get back to you." Then I dont hear back from them. IS it better to call customers a day, or maybe 2 or 3, after the initial estimate? Or leave them alone, so as to not seem desperate?

I usually wait three to five days and then give a call. If they tell me they still have not made a decision I will send a follow up letter after that. Once the letter is sent I leave them alone.

Some reasons for no call backs are: They think your prices are high, they heard of other PWs destroying other peoples property, they have stupid questions they are afraid to ask you.
Be open and helpful and make them feel they can ask you about your cleaning abilities. Always follow up by asking if they have any concerns and calm their doubt. This attitude shows you care, not that you are deparate for work.

Just my take, Kemp

This is John with B&R Fire Protection, I visited you restaurant last week . I wanted to call and see how your current hood cleaning, concrete cleaning and fire inspection services are treating you.. I also wanted to make you aware that we travel the entire state of Mississippi and we perform all of these service , thus you use one company, one invoice,at one low price.. .If they are intrested I sell and close.. If not I call them every month.. they go on my lil black book...
