Burner problems

My burner quit working tonight. I was wondering if anyone had a diagram for a mi-t-m 3504 heater. Not sure what the problem is, but need to find out how to fix it. You can smell the gas but no heat. Any help would be great. Thanks to all in advance that reply.

Could very well be an ignitor. Are you getting any spark? You can test this, if you are very, very careful with a well insulated screwdriver. Make sure that you are getting power into the ignitor, and then with the gun open, and the heater on, touch the spring on one side of the ignitor, and then slowly moved it to the spring on the other side. You should be able to get a spark about an inch long, but it could be shorter. Please, be very careful. This is a dangerous, but easily performed test. If there is no power to the ignitor, it could easily be a pressure switch, or a high limit switch. These can both be tested by bypassing them to see if the heater works then.
If one of these things does not work, it will need to be replaced. Of course, this is assuming that you have fuel in the tank.

NOw Scott this is going to sound stupid. Since I am still a newbie and Im still learning my machine and all its functions. We exactly are the springs your takling about. I know , I know its a stupid question, but I wont learn unless I ask lol. Are we talking about the switch itself or are we talking about the white things on top of the heater that looks kinda like spark plugs? Thanks again for you reply and most of all not beating me up to bad over a stupid question. lol

Bryan, when you open the 'lid' there's going to be two springs or two metal bands that get pushed down when the lid is closed, thats where you test for spark. If its dark, you can see the glow of the spark through the air band. You should be able to hear the 'click' of the fuel solenoid when it opens. Are you comfortable by-passing switches as Scott said? A search should help here - everyones been there. Here's a basic diagram
