Burned Barn

Hello!

So this is my first "official" post on here. I was asked to wash my friends barn for her. They got some of the sheet metal off of another barn that had been in a fire. There was a lot of soot all over this one wall on the inside of this barn. I hit it with 1 gallon of SH to 1 1/2 gallon of water because I knew it was gonna be a pain and it didn't even make a dent. Is there anything special that would help clean this wall?

SH? Sodium Hypochlorite or Sodium Hydroxide? I did a burned out metal shop building that came out good. They replaced the roof and i prepped the walls. I downstreamed pure 12.5 Sodium hypochlorite plus about 6 cups sodium hyroxide plus about 3 cups tsp from a 5 gallon bucket. I was prepping for repaint. I was pleased with how well it cleaned up. I rinsed thoroughly with a turbo nozzle to remove as much of the loose paint as possible where it got hottest.

SH was sodium hypochlorite. It's not a very big wall and it got some of the black off but not really much. They are trying to avoid painting. I'll try your mix and hopefully it gets the job done.
