Bulk 12.5% Supplier needed in West Houston... Any help?

My starting zip code is 77079. I'm finding SH is $100 for 55 gal, but its 30 miles away at Univar and I have to pick up and transport myself, or pay $250 to have it delivered, or $17 for a case of 4 gallons at the pool store. Any suggestions?

Is what it is. Some people pay $.99 a gallon, some pay more. After 2 years I'm still paying $2.50 and can't find it cheaper. Even my girlfriend works at a pool store and can't get it on her discount cheaper than $2.50. All comes down to supply and demand.

You are very right, supply and demand.

I know a lot of guys in Florida that get it for about $1.00, some a little less, some a little more but right about $1.00 for most.
I am guessing that the state of Florida makes and uses more SH than many other states combined for many different purposes so their prices are cheaper than most.

Bryan, How does that work, do you tell the local place about UAMCC or have to call corporate or something else?

Thanks.

C.L., check it Harcros to. Also a company called Pool Sure delivers mine. But if you live in a neighborhood they won't deliver to you. But they may have something set up where you can pick up.

Harcros is the $250 delivered. Pool sure hasn't called me back. I'm guessing the holiday weekend!

As a member of the UAMCC you can get a discount at univar. Might make if the difference for mileage

I am going through Univar but they don't know the discount what is it?

At that price still sounds cheaper to buy and drive to Univar.

250/55=4.54 which is retail (pool store)

At 3-5 gallons per house, the difference is really only about $10. I'll just have to adjust my prices accordingly until I'm at about a drum per week. Then delivery is not an option!

I'm glad all my equipment is paid for!

Earlier this year the local Univar had a huge price increase so I started looking around, forgot how much it went up but it was like $30 or more per drum.

That is great info Bryan, I will need to look into that and see if they offer it or how I need to get that discount.

Thanks Bryan.

Chris, Ron mentioned this a few weeks ago on a thread you reposted on. I'm not a member yet so I didn't look into it.

I pay 2.40/gallon + $10 fuel surcharge from Harcros to my warehouse.

There are a few more suppliers there in Houston, forgot their names but see them when I am in Houston, usually once per 2 or 4 months.

Where's your warehouse Shane? Maybe we can make an arrangement? I'll text you!
