One way to enhance your professional image and that of your employees with both current and prospective customers is by participating in one or more of BSCAI’s Certification programs. Your clients want to deal with professionals who can address their needs in an efficient, cost-effective manner, and BSCAI’s Certification programs attest to your personal and professional commitment to being the very best in the industry. So don’t delay. Take advantage of this great opportunity to gain a competitive edge. Review the Certification programs available, take time to complete the application forms and return them to BSCAI Headquarters. We look forward to welcoming you and your employees to our distinguished group of certified professionals.

There are 4 easy steps in the testing process. They are:

STEP1 Complete the appropriate application and return it to BSCAI headquarters with the initial fee of $200 for the CBSE designation, $100 for the RBSM designation and $200 for the CSSP designation.

STEP2 Schedule your examination in conjunction with BSCAI’s Annual Convention and Trade Show by:

Notifying Renita Bridge, BSCAI’s Assistant to the Executive Vice President at BSCAI headquarters 30 days prior to the convention to reserve your place at the examination by calling 800-368-3414 or completing the Exam Scheduling Form and faxing it to 703-352-0493.

OR

Schedule your examination in your hometown by:

Contacting a local elementary school, high school, college or
university and requesting a certified educator to serve as a proctor and administer the full-day examination.

Submit the name, address, and phone number of the proctor to Renita Bridge, BSCAI’s Assistant to the Executive Vice President at BSCAI Headquarters at least 30 days before your preferred examination date. Candidates are responsible for paying any fees charged by the proctor for administering the examination. BSCAI REQUIRES THAT THE PROCTOR BE A PROFESSIONAL EDUCATOR WHO IS NOT EMPLOYED AS A BUILDING SERVICE CONTRACTOR.

The examination will be forwarded to the proctor in advance of the examination date and returned by the proctor directly to BSCAI headquarters for grading.

STEP3 Your examination will be graded by Renita Bridge, BSCAI’s Assistant to the Executive Vice President. Candidates must achieve a minimum passing score of 70% on each of four (4) sections. Any section that a candidate does not pass may be taken again within one year.

STEP4 You will be notified of your final score by BSCAI’s Executive Vice President within 30-45 days of your exam date. Successful candidates will be announced by mail to the entire professional membership of BSCAI. If no objection is received in writing from the membership within 45 days following publication of the announcement, the candidate will be awarded the designation.
