bucket truck 4 sale

I'll post pics if there is any interest.....I've got a 99'F450 bucket truck I want to sell:

single cab
7.3 diesel, 130K miles
auto, a/c, 2WD
34' Altec bucket, squirter
great tires
new breaks, rotors, calipers all around
new batteries

*Best thing about it for Pwashers.....the truck is a flatbed, not a utility body. So you could put on a tank, couple washers, reels.

Bad things:

*Lotttttts of overspray on it right now--to make it look good you'd have to sand and re-paint. Looks good from 20' away though.

*vinyl seats, couple tears in it.

*has usual dents, etc. in bumpers....think body is pretty straight. I've a driven it a time or two but I can recall hitting a tree or so. I'm sure the guys have as well.

Like I said, not perfect and pretty. Great work truck. Just drove 200miles....motor is very strong. If you buy a truck like this from a bucket truck dealer, they'll have re-painted it, etc. and charge a heck of a lot for those updates. This is a truck you can buy for less that is ready to work and you won't feel back getting it dirty. Or, you could probably spend 1k and have your guys sand it down a little, take it to Maaco for a coat of paint, re-spray the bucket yellow, and spray the flatbed black and have a really clean looking truck. That is what I'll do if I don't sell it.

PRICED TO SELL QUICK FOR $15,500.00!! FIRST $15,500.00 TAKES IT!! MY LOSS, YOUR GAIN FOR $15,500.00!! (I like using all of those used-car sales lines:))

Email me if interested......if I don't get any bites from this of CL within two weeks, I'll probably just keep it...who knows.

JON

Buuuuump!

Okay, I've still got this truck and I'm ready to sell it now. Read what I've put up in the first post.......

Most importantly, has ALL new brakes/rotors/calipers around it, as well as some hydrolic feature that is what makes the brakes work in a truck like this....a part I'm not familiar with.

Again, truck can be delivered to you at STL Lambert Airport (has Southwest), fly in and drive home.

Roof guys-----this truck was tailor-made for you! Obviously, you know a bucket truck would be great---but this one doesn't have that useless utility bed on it....this has a TOTALLY EMPTY flatbed that would be perfect for mounting multiple tanks, reels, pumps, washers.

For any of you guys that are serious about jumping into the roof game big time in the Spring, this truck is what is going to set you apart.

PURCHASE BETWEEN NOW AND DEC. 1, AND I WILL SELL FOR $14,000.00!!!!!!

(non-negotiable price)

Jon, being on my third lift I'll throw my 2 cents in. That looks like a good truck setup. If I were in a need at all right now for another one I'd buy it myself. Here are the advantages to that truck.

It's small and easy to drive
Flatbed has a lot of room for equipment and more equipment can follow in a trailer
You can pull up very close to a building for max height and coverage
That engine is the best engine ford ever had and parts are cheap from international harvester
The mileage isn't high at all, ask Ron

Lastly, if any of you guys plan on doing filters or coils in the future, I can tell you there's nothing like pulling up to a busy gas station, parking in a regular spot, (without outriggers) and being on the roof in seconds, back down in less than 10minutes and on to the next job, about $75 more in your pocket.

I wish I saw a future need in the next year or so, I'd buy it. If I get the Walgreens account (not very likely right now) I will buy it immediately.

Hey Tony,

....Wanna fly over and get it before the first of the year for 13K??

Hard to try and find a place to sell a truck like this. It is a good deal, but I guess the demand is just low.

I don't see our schedule filling up enough in the next year to justify the purchase. Ours sits here idle at least two days out of the week during the day right now. That's why I'm trying to get the apartment rooftop AC accounts so we can do something with our days.

I wish I could, I'd take it. Sorry.

Jon, have you thought of putting it on Ebay?

That is where I found the one I bought.

They sell all kinds of bucket trucks and manlifts.

Also try trucktrader.com

BUMP---

I'll take 11K for the truck right now---though it does have a small issue w/ the brakes. Cost to repair would be around $600 I believe. We could always work out something and I can get it repaired if necessary. But haven't driven the truck in about a year and would prefer to just sell it. Fly in for $250 and I'll meet you at the airport!

This will be my last price drop for the truck---I'm putting it back on Ebay today and if it doesnt sell, we'll just keep it and use it.

Just bought the one on my avitar last Saturday...F250 Super Duty XLT....Would like to still have a lift but that will have to wait until next year maybe..
