Body fat in pool filters.

Here we go again guys. Same swimming pool as my first post. The filter system of the pools consists of plastic skeleton frames with filter cloth bags fitted over them and zipped closed. this skeleton then plugs into the main filter bank. the issue is getting the filter bags cleaned of body fat deposit. this is an issue that they have struggled with for many years and not very successfully I might add. I was wondering if anyone has a chemical solution to this problem?. they are using a formulated detergent at the moment that is pretty ho hum as far as doing the job goes. Any help would be good help. thanks guys

What do they do in pools in New Zealand???

As for body fat, I would look into a Potassium Hydroxide or Potash based chemical. Maybe a chemical like the hood cleaners use.

what's up you guys.? don't you shed a little body fat in your swimming pools in the US? You are just to clean for words. LOL from what I see on the tv there's a huge amount of body fat in the US or do you call it something more PC.?

We Use a different type of pool filter. They are usually diatomaceous earth or sand. And we may be fat, but we are beautiful.

My parents owned a pool when I was growing up. My brother and I took care of the pool as soon as we were old enough (I am pretty sure one reasons people have kids is for the labor)
I worked as a lifeguard through high school and part of college.
My wife and I own a pool now

I have never seen body fat deposits ever in my time around pools.

You can get body oils in the filters of hot water spas or hot tubs. If you check with a spa company they might be able to get you the name of product to use. If I remember correctly I was given a green liquid to spray on the filters and rinse off that cleaned the body oils from the filter.

seems there was a problem with terminology. Ok lets call it body oil. when it congeals it looks like fat. If you all were thinking about the stuff on the INSIDE of your skin well come on fella's we'd be talking about a murder scene with blood and gore not swimming pool filters.

Scott, whatever you do, never ever use a mobile DE filter because they can blow up! I happen to know for a fact that that's true because I read it online!
