Blue tarps to cover shrubs and plants

Dose anyone here use the blue tarps to cover plants etc? If so where is a good place to buy them and do you have any advice on the thickness quality etc?

If you use tarps or any covering you have to be aware of how hot it is that day because they will trap heat and kill plants pretty fast. They do work just remember to let the plants breathe from time to time.

We use medium thickness clear plastic sheeting for our covering but tarps will do fine. You can get them at any hardware store but id shop around on price.

The key to tarping is to only tarp where you are working then uncover ASAP. Dont tarp everything and then start cleaning.

Does anyone know where you can get tarps that are only 4' wide, but long - 30', 40', or 50'?

I think the only way you are going to get that dimention is by cutting a 10 x 30 in half to give you a 5 x 30.
