Subject: The Birk Economic Recovery Plan

Hi Pals,

I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.

Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend.

To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.

Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..

So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billion that equals $425,000.00.

My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend.

Of course, it would NOT be tax free.

So let's assume a tax rate of 30%.

Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes.

That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.

But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.

A husband and wife has $595,000.00.

What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?

Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.

Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads

Put away money for college - it'll be there

Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.

Buy a new car - create jobs

Invest in the market - capital drives growth

Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves

Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else


Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.

If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it...instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 ( "vote buy" ) economic incentive that is being proposed
by one of our candidates for President.


If we're goi ng to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!

As for AIG - liquidate it.

Sell off its parts.

Let American General go back to being American General.

Sell off the real estate.

Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.

Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't.

Sure it's a crazy idea that can "never work."

But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!

How do you spell Economic Boom?

I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion

We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC .

And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.

Ahhh...I feel so much better getting that off my chest.

Sounds good......except the 85B should be distributed at the ratio at which it was taken----

Phil says only 47% of US pays taxes, that 47% gets the money, re-distributed EXACTLY as it was taken.

This guy's plan sounds good----except that it is communism!!! Must be why Jeffy likes it so much!!
 
Then you have the whiners.

"Why does joe millionaire get $297,000 and only pays 30% like me? He should pay...65%, he already has enough money. In fact you should just cut everyone out that makes over 100,000 and divide their money between those of us who dont even pay into the system. Yea that'll show em."

Other than that, sounds good to me. Hell I dont make 100k. I get my check!!

It is communism, but so is the government using our money to "purchase" these other companies. If the Government had its own line of revenue, outside of taxes, say like Dubai, and wanted to buy another income producing company, so be it.

The only difference in Hugo Chavez and George Bush right now is that Chavez would have just taken the companies, and not shoved 1 triillon dollars into the fat cats back pockets.

It is very hard to believe that this is happening right under our noses and we are not doing anything about it. But so is illegal immigration, over-taxation, overspending, affirmative action, and a few others.

Just bend over and grab your ankles people, things aint changing anytime soon.

Communism, yup, its another George & Dick plan. We are paying and paying and paying under Bushes 8 year reign of terror. Make the tax payer pay for everything and work for nothing, suspend rights, bug/wire tap Americans, let every illegal in for cheap labor, torture anyone anytime, fight wars for no reason, saber rattle, Sure sounds like the good old USSR to me, sad thing is its our Cowboy President. Oh ya it will be better with McCain Paalin, he admits he knows nothing about the economy and she's been saved from witches from her pastor and is just a dumb a** quack from Alaska. I say we get rid of McCain and just put Palin in maybe she can cast a spell and make everything alright. man are we in trouble, keep defending the republican ideals, they really have served this country well. Ya trickle down and no regulations have done well. $100,000,000 dollar CEO's and what do we get? Oh ya the bill for this whole mess. There's something trickling down, there usually is when you get screwed in the ***

My math is a bit rusty I know, but last time I checked 85B divided by 200MM was only $425 per person. They kept a few too many zeroes:)

I Have to agree with alot of what you said. B&D have helped turned this nation into a socialist one. Of course this started long ago with the welfare state mentality, and both dems and republicans are to blame.

Also, I do love that you bring up Palin getting a blessing to ward off witchcraft, because that story was just printed, and proves you libs have nothing but talking points dictated by the driveby media. Us conservatives only listen to Rush Limbaugh for the entertainment.:D

I almost want to give up blaming the politicians. We probably should all blame ourselves, we keep putting these fools in

Stop blaming the media, I don't blame Hannity, Rush, Billo or any the MANY other right wing media, they can and do say what they want, its America. Do I like all of them or their views? Naaa. Theres a ton of entertainment in the media, but some live off of Rush's words and drink his spiked KoolAid. Sorry you can't blame the media for the Witch story, her witchy church came ot with it and the media is just reporting it, maybe aggressively, but they did the same to Hussein Obama. Blame the candidate and who they pick. Have you listened to Palin, have you seen the film, its pretty wacky stuff. I'm pretty sure she's personally isn't really the caliber of a person I want a heartbeat away from the top. I really think McCain group should have done more than a day or two of vetting her, she alone is going to get Obama elected

I agree both parties are to blame for sure. I wish there was something I could say that would change it, maybe a revolution
 
I say lets put Obama in he has all the Right Moves and Experience after all The Dems are talking about having experience, let start with him never doing anything before running, OK OK he has been a Senator for 3 years now of whice he has been running for the President for two of them so that gives him 1 year of experience in voting NOT PRESENT ;) Slick Move DEMS he has it all from Experience to Voting NOT PRESENT, he should be right up there with Harry Reid and Nancy baby :)

OH and don't forget that Mr. Clinton was on the today show I think it was yesterday saying all this BANKING Crap started under him back in the 90's from the Dems trying to put all the Illegals and Poor in a house even if they could pay for it or not, So lets stop blaming everybody and start doing something about the crap coming down in the near future and it matters not what party you vote for, we have to vote all these guys out and get people in that are for the Country, NOT THE PARTY and GREED PERIOD......
