Big Tile Roof On Tampa Bay

Here are some before and after pictures of us cleaning this roof that was right on Tampa Bay in Apollo Beach,Florida.
The view from the top of this roof was just awesome, and we could see all the way across the Bay to downtown Tampa!
Our customer just bought this multi million dollar waterfront home, and wanted to get his roof cleaned before the painting of his house.
He hasn't seen his clean roof yet, since he is a plastic surgeon who lives up in Montreal, and will not be flying down to Tampa until this weekend.
We completed this job on 5-15-2014, and like all jobs we do, it came out beautifully.

Apollo Beach has a lot of soot from the Tampa Electric Smokestacks, as well as Seagull Shit on the roofs. We always have to adjust our tile roof cleaning mixture when we clean down in Apollo Beach.

Thanks Ted! He wanted the roof cleaned, and the entire house soft washed, we quoted 3500.00 on the whole job. But then he found a painter, and so we just did the roof. We could have just done the entire job, but we don't rip people off. Any good painter will pressure wash the house first, included in the price of a paint job.

Thanks Kasey, whenever we do a filthy tile roof with an overabundance of Bird Shit (Seagull Shit is the worst), we always add some extra caustic like Sodium Hydroxide or TSP, whatever is handy.
The Bird Shit is acidic, like Cat Shit is. One reason why Cat Shit is not a good fertilizer.
You always want to keep the PH of the roof cleaning solution up (Alkaline)

Plus, most any roof near Tampa Bay also will have soot on it from the Power Plants, and the Hydroxide and TSP is very helpful to lift that stuff.
