Best radar app

Radar Scope is the best live weather app out there. I finally bought it abd subscribed to allison house lighting, storm tracking etc last year.

I only got this app after I watched an EF2 firm in front of my truck. We could not duck low enough abd we all felt sure that the debris hitting the truck was going to shatter the windows or a 4x4 post was going to pierce the doors. Fortunately we were ok. The trailing tornado went right at the front of my truck when we finally opened our eyes. Looked just like you see in the movies. As for the EF2. It was unreal to see the circulation abd all he'll break loose. I thought we were all in the wrong place and we would die.

Anyway. We were watching the weather with 2 diff apps abd the radar was 15 mins old. Radarscope is live. ( your local meteorologist use it ). Lightning strikes are live. It can help you figure out your day and maybe give you enough lead time to pack up before a big lightning storm gets close.

Geez Matt, that's a scary story! I didn't know that there were tornados in FL.

I didn't either......... It was scary as shit... pitch black at 4:15pm......( everyones headlights were on..... light 4:15 am).... we were watching a cell from the west moving east and a cell from th south moving north... guess where they met! we came around the corner on a four lane divided heavily populated road and we all said holy shit when we say the circulation... then as fast as we said that ... the circulation went counter clockwise and fences were flying in front of us.. every tree in the median next to us was ripper in 2 pieces as it went behind us. the fence on our right ending up on the trailer. It was so loud, the truck was buffeting like crazy.... slowed for a few seconds.. my guy in the back seat said " is it ok get get up" I said NO! it started again..... then me and my other guy in the front looked up and say the trailing tornado coming toads the front of the truck and go down the pass side.... It was just like you see in the movies..... width of 3 telephone poles....... and squarely and sideways from the earth to the sky.... just like hollywood. I honestly thought........ this is actually happening..... I can't believe we are going to go out like this. thats how awesome it was...... I never thought I would EVER see a tornado in my lifetime ( Florida) ....... I never want to see another one...... We had literally nowhere to go... Ohh and BTW.......you don't realize how low your window line on a truck door is... until you are trying to duck!!!( not like a car )

Anyway.......... the post isn't about me...... or the crazy A$$ $hit I experienced.... its just that since then I have downloaded and used the Radarscope app..... it is spot on with the radar.. no lag.. its worth the $9.99 to see live radar while you are working in a field, on a ladder or waving a lighting rod ( wand ) if you get the afternoon thunderstorms like we do in the southeast..

Scott most of the troubled guys are part timers. They have other jobs or wives who are the bread winners. Nothing wrong with wives as bread winners, mine has reported

Does the app make a noise to alert you that bad some chit's about to happen?

Dark Sky will, also tells you within minutes when rain is coming to your exact location. I have found it to be pretty dead on accurate. Very handy for when on a roof and you see clouds forming.

Dark Sky sounds like a great app. I would download but I only have 1 problem. It never rains here in Southern California so it would be useless to me.

No. The radar is live Noaa radar. No delay. Uses GPS to pinpoint u bad the direction your facing. Also shows a storm track of each thunder cell. Also tracks and pinpoints each lightning strike as soon as it happens.... Literally. Obviously if the skies are getting dark you will be looking at radar frequently. An alert won't help me if I am out if my truck, I am busy making money with noises equipment that causes "global wa...... Oh wait climate change ? "

Doug, here in Portland predicting rain is easy - no apps needed. In fact it's simple.

If you can't see Mt. Hood, it's raining. If can see Mt. Hood, it's about to rain.

Yes spent a lot of time in Seattle Portland area years ago. It rained everyday I was there
