For anyone who hasn't seen it, pretty handy little deal

I got one of those last year as I was repairing a lot of hoses and the regular hose clamps would not get tight enough. The clamps are not much more than high dollar worm gear clamps but get a lot tighter.

That does look interesting Doug, are you using it? If so, tell us your thoughts about it.

It does look like it would be easier to remove the wire clamps than the band clamps when you need to do so and the wire does not look that expensive.

No. I dont use it. Just thought about when I saw toms post. I don't know if one is better than.the other. Was just posting it mainly to see if tom knows anything about it.

I like the fat bands. That wire clamp maker looks cool though. I think the bandit clamps are pretty cheap if I remember right.

I looked into the wire clamp tool just last week. Brand new costs between $40-$50 on ebay. I do like the idea of being able to double wire it and also the ability to use stainless wire,...making a nice neat rust free connection. Still thinking about purchasing it,...

I suppose the main benefit over the banding tool is the Camptite tool can be used with basic hardware store wire which makes it very convenient. But,..having the bands on hand wouldn't be as big deal neither,..just order enough and don't run low. It isn't like they're used everyday anyhow. So,..that's not really a big factor for me.

I think the banding tool makes a better factory looking connection,..but it seems the tool is more money.

I also like the idea of pinch clamps, and pex.
