Do some trade work with commercial clients, take some of the cash burden off them.

Balance it all and in the end they might appreciate the relief and stay loyal.

Or loose them, they may find someone else after it picks up.

My point is if you recieve a cancellation talk to them to come to a resolution to stay busy. Keep the trucks running and keep the dollars moving.

Right on. I just lost about 13 Burger Kings (said they were getting their own pw and having maintenance guys do it LOL). I politely told them that they have my number when they need me back. Two days later one district mgr calls me up and says he still wants my services anyway, regardless of what corporate wants. So, I got 5 of them back.

I always keep in touch if someone decides to try another direction. Also remind them that they can still call before inspection time if need be. Had good luck with that.

excatly, dont let them if you can keep them.

I have fortuanatly have not run into the economy thing yet.

I'm holding on doing some things to stimulate new customers and its working so far.

I can tell everyone vacant units in business is on the rise, after the holidays we had one center vacant all except two people out of 15.

The people that own the center just purchased two center from another group that was not making the payments and we picked up two centers.

I'm feeling lucky that i screen my clients and have charged smaller companys the right price and stayed loyal to the guys with the money.

trade outs are a great idea I do that on occasion havn't lost anything yet but one of my monthly accounts did tell to skip feb and start back in march I have had alot of calls the past two weeks lining up alot of new jobs real excited

I think its alot of residential guys hurting, I see others on BBS really worried about the busz.

I thus far have not seen any slow yet, i will be ready if it does happen. Its been so long you forget what its about.

I have not seen any slow down, actually Jan & Feb have increased quite a bit over the past two years and I have work lined up through June/July + more in the works, with a little slow time at the end of March, but that will probably change. Alot already have it in their budget, so I'm pretty confident for 2008

If the economy doesn't get better sometime in 2008, Its a possibility late 2008 or 2009 could be different.

I'm just rolling right along, like there is no down turn in the economy

Residential, may be tough, there just isn't as much money out there and people may be careful how they spend, it showed that in retail spending in December, either they don't have it or they are saving it. I still think there will be a lot of work for resi guys, you just may have to work a little harder to get it. People aren't going to want their houses dirty and moldy and many would never think of doing it themselves, so I think like I said, there's the work out there:)

I dont see you as a residential home contractor.

Our January was a record, of course the Stupor bowl and FBR helped. Even without that we were close to record range though.

Yeah, good luck with the condo thing. Around here people look at you like you have a third eye if you want to wash a building. I made almost $500 last month.

Jeff is right the condo cleaning here is anything but slow I have already picked up 3 new properties for the spring added on to what I already have I'm looking at cleaning over 200 hundred condos and townhomes this spring plus I have two parking garages at the end of feb.
