Bad Day In Tampa

Apple Roof Cleaning

Roof Cleaning Instructor
Today was a weird day.
It was supposed to start off great.
We had a big flat 1500.00 tile roof to do in a very wealthy section of Tampa.
We drove up, and there were 3 A/C trucks hogging the driveway.
They would not move either, but were working inside.
So, we drove on the grass.
The pictures tell the story, we had to be winched out of the grass by Stepps Towing.
Cost me 75 bucks + the damage to the yard.
The roof came out beautiful BTW.
It was a difficult, dangerous roof, had to crawl the ridge cap.
Steep as hell, loose tiles, pine needles
We immediately went to the next door neighbor and showed her what happened and apologized.
She was so impressed that we TOLD her what we accidentally did and did not just run, she hired us to do her roof tomorrow!
I told her to have her yard guy fix it, and we will pay what ever it costs.
While we waited for the tow truck, I hit some of the neighborhood.

Yikes...sod looks pretty wet...maybe over watered or a recent storm just hit the area.
Grossly over watered Carlos, to the point of being swamp :(

All is well that ends well.
It worked out real well Don.
I did give the lady a copy of my insurance, but she agreed to let me take care of it w/o turning it in to my Insurance carrier.
That way she gets taken care of right away, and my Insurance rates do not go up.
She told me to just throw some dirt on it, that the grass will come back.
This is true, it will grow back, in time.
But I told her to just have her guy re sod it, because that was the way it was.
BTW,, the A/C guys would not help us push, or attempt to help us either.
The owner of the house was not there unfortunately.

Its always something. Today one of my guys tipped over a step ladder with their hose and it dented the trim around a garage door on a unit at a condo. I will have a buddy that does that kind of work take care of it. Was a great day washing until this pita stuff, just another day in the life of PWing

at least it worked out in the end ;-)

And the three a/c trucks....they could not move at least one of them....figures.

Nope, they flat out refused.
Even told us to come back, that they were "there first".
Usually, fellow workers are not a problem.
We always look at fellow workers as new friends we have not met yet.
New networking opportunities.
These guys were not nice at all.

They probably drove off while you were stuck too didn't they.

Two of them did, but one stayed to wait for the owner to get paid.
My brother is an A/C Contractor. http://www.jamiesairconditioning.com
I did tell the one who stayed behind WHO my brother is, and suddenly he got real nice.
He then said "Why didn't you tell me Jamie is your brother" ?
But like Don said, it all worked out.
We got the neighbor as a customer,

That was a nice job.

How big was the roof?

How long did it take you?
