I just read about this site in my newspaper. It's a giant of a site where people are downloading new movies etc. From it. It's considered illegal in the U.S. But that seems to stop no one.

Never heard of it until my newspaper said about movie rankings and how well some movies rank on BitTorrent..
 
Had roommates in college that did that stuff all the time. I have no idea how it works. He would burn onto DVD and we watched movies months before they hit theatres. I remember we watched the Dark Knight so early that they didn't even have the digital special effects added in yet...that was weird. Half the scenes were just actors and no background haha
 
That site along with others are constantly being watched by the feds and the record industry attorneys waiting for the right person to sue out of existence. They have sued about 20 people in the past 10 years or so.

I try to stay away from them as most of the stuff has virus and spyware in it from what I have heard. Since Napster many, many years ago, I have not been on any of those type sites, just trying to be careful.
 
Yeah any torrent site is basically giving you pirated or cracked stuff. Software, movies etc and some of it has some pretty nasty malware. Like not infecting your computer but if you were to log into your site to do some changes it could put that malware on your site and soon Google would add you to the blacklist.

And that is just what we (non hackers) know about.

I would avoid that site but that is just me.
 
I did hear that they have just about any song ever recorded along with movies, videos and other stuff that you cannot find anywhere anymore.

I would not go there unless you had a good antivirus program running and check anything you download just to be sure. McAfee I heard was good.
