Anybody ever been fooled??

This place really fooled me.
They called for a "cleaning estimate" and "Ansul Service".

I always ask a lot of questions and try to clarify things before doing an estimate. I remember the person on the phone telling me he had "1 fryer system" with an ansul system.

This fryer was sitting on a shelf behind the bar. It has no real exhaust hood or duct - it just discharges into the air.

Auto Fry makes 3 sizes of these things. They do require service every 6 months like any Ansul System. The tank is a regular Ansul Sentry FX , but has Ansulex instead of dry chemical. Auto Fry says the only way to clean the system is to wipe it out. The fan and motor assembly is supposed to come out, there is a plug on the end of the wiring harness. Like any fan motor, don't get it wet. I suppose there is a UL lable someplace.
