Well This is the 3rd time this year .. And I am really looking foward to moving into our new house in Benton... I woke up yesterday morning and someone had broken into my truck once again... First off the new Radio was gone .. I forgot to remove the faceplate.. Then I noticed the tool box was gone that had my fusible Links in it , My recharge adapters for extinguishers, and the basic Klein Tools alnog with a fluke meter.. I also noticed that my briefcase was gone it included Inspection tags , hood cleaning stickers , and all of my reports.. Including my digital camera.. Thats why I bought a new one yesterday evening... Well I have already spent around 700.00 replacing this stuff from yesterday... And I still have to buy more recharge adapters and links... The landlord says he is sorry and ask me why dont I tote all of my stuff inside every night... . Inconveince ,,, I am just ready to move... Well today I am off to replace the stereo in the truck ...I hope... Maybe I should just buy some headphones and a mp3 player..

I was just thinking this morning of putting a security camera outside watching over my equipment i will be doing that this week actually. i am sorry to hear this happen to you john hope every thing works out.

When I lived in Jacktown over 10 years ago the crime was terrible.
I can't imagine what it's like now.

I always try to wear neutral gang colors,, at night .. I always carry my 9mm are my killtech 380 ... " Jus in case I have to pull out my piece and buss a cap" The Cops say crime is down like 13 % but residents in my neighborhood keep moving North , to madison and such... Thats why we are moving... Still trying to close on a house out in the country in Benton, MS...

Sorry to hear about that. You have to actually figure your wardrobe out by what colors the freakin gangbangers are wearing. I love livin in the country. All I have to do is avoid one little area at night.

When I lived there everyone in my office had at least one attempted carjacking or car burglary. I lived out in Flowood which was peaceful but the whole area was a warzone.
A white supremacist holed up in an abandoned Po Folks restaurant with 20 AK-47s and blasted a bunch of people including a reporter several hundred yards away.
The day I decided to leave was when my wife was 9 months pregnant and wanted to go for a walk. I wanted to go to the nice new mall in Ridgeland and walk in the AC but she adamantly refused for some weird reason so we walked in the heat around Mirror Lake Plaza.
When we got home we found out that some fireman nut had killed his wife, almost all of the chiefs and deputy chiefs, and police had chased him to the mall and had a shootout in the exact spot that we always parked.

Ok everything replaced... New Pioneer on its way, bought all new tools and ordered recharge adapters and got new tags coming , already had some sticker labels , ordered new 500 degree , 450 ML Links and 360 degree links .. So I am only out about 1400.00. Insurance probably will pay half if I file the claim and my insurance will probably go up another 100.00 or so a month.. I think I am going to go to the local pawn shops tommorrow and see if I can find some of my stuff... The pawn shop owners around here love it when you find your stuff and call the cops right up to their store..LOL

I've had tools and equipment mysteriously come up missing before, so I understand how you feel right now. You might want to consider investing a little more into prevention, chains, locks, and bolts go a long way toward keeping your stuff...your stuff.

John sorry for your loss. I know how you must feel, someone broke into my home 2-weeks ago and took all my wife's jewery, some coins and one of my sheriff badges I was given when I retired and a Wii Nintendo console. Since my break in there has been 4 others in the surrounding areas. We have never had any breakin's in the area, mine was the first. I found out since it is 2-brothers that moved into the area lately from South Florida. The problem is the police has chased them twice, but they were on ATV's and cut through the woods and the police lost them. Because they probably live in the area somewhere it is a matter of time before they will be caught. Take care! Hugh

Sorry abought that Hugh... What gets me is the robbers in almost every case always take something that is more value to the owner than is to the theif.. Out of everything I lost I miss my camera the most .. It had all the cheerleader photos still on the sd card of my daughters last cheerleading performance with upward baptist church on it .. I never got to save it on the computer... I hope they catch the theives that stole your stuff , maybe you could get a few moments alone with them... Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to find the theives that stole my stuff and take about 2000 dollars worth of ass whoopin out on them... I hope they catch the guys that stole your stuff... Be thankful your family is OK... ...

I have been looking at these for taking on the road with me.. I usually carry an old 6 shooter, but this is nice and small and will fit in my pocket.. Alot of the police officers in Ridgeland and Jackson use these as back ups ... I am just not sure about a 380... But I have heard some good things about Kel-Tec..

John, I have the Kel-Tec 32 that I carry! I love it. It is a nice shooting little gun. The best thing about it is I can carry it in my pocket and no one will ever see it. It holds 7 in the clip and one in the chamber. A lot of people call it a ear gun but it is pretty accurate at about 10 yards.

I am also in the market for a 380. I looked at a nice used Tuarus 357, 2inch barrel today, nice but was alittle bulky for a small gun. The nice thing for me is I do not need a conceal weapons permit as long as I have my retired Sheriff's Id on me when I am carrying it. So I am looking and will probably have something by next week. Hugh

I shot a kel-tec 380 today .. Its a nice lil gun..pretty easy to hold an aim also.. I also like the safety.. I think I am Going for the Kel-Tec... I had a cop friend of mine that patrols the local Walgreens tell me Do Not Buy The Hi-Point guns they are junk... He said they are pretty cheaply made and they hang up.. He said the best bet is the Kel-Tec or the Berreta
