Another Burner Question

Mark 8262

Residential and Commercial Pressure Washing Specia
I just replaced the igniter and am getting tons of smoke. Is this from the excess diesel fuel that was being pumped when the igniter went out.

Before I knew it was the igniter there was excess diesel fuel coming from the burner that was not getting burned.

Will this eventually burn off or do I need to drain the fuel?

Thanks in advance for your help

I had the same problem Mark recently. I had to go and clean the coil soon after it because of the suit buildup that had been compiling. Give it a few hours of operation and see if it still does it. If so you may be in for a treat cleaning that coil

It should smoke black for a short period while it's burning the wet fuel off the coil. The fuel in the insulation will be white, will come out the stack especially when the burner is not firing, and will seep out the holes in the skin where the pipes go through, the seams where the skin goes together, and the area where the burner attaches. Depending on how much fuel is in there, it could last quite a long time.
