Ammunition Accountability Act

We must let our state legislatures know we do NOT want this bill passed, and petition every member to vote no on this bill. We should keep after them until the bill is closed, by bombarding them with e-mails, phone calls, and letters. And for those living in states not now considering one of these bills beware: it is only a matter of time till a similar piece of legislation is proposed for you.

Remember how Obama said he wasn't going to take your guns? Well, it seems his minions and allies in the anti-gun world have no problem with taking your ammo!

The bill being pushed in 18 states requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacturer a data base of all ammunition sales. In that way, they will know how much you buy and what calibers. Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded.

Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011 (Including hand-loaded ammo.) They will also charge a .05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more! If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your gun!

This legislation is currently pending in 18 states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington.

The price of Ammo has gone up about 30% over the last year? I am buying in bulk of 500rd's and it's still exspensive.

I am a Yankee compared to Russ, 1 hour and 29 min due North.

This is a bunch of crap.

Is this regarding to ammo suppliers or me and you.

So does that mean that loading yourself will be aginst the law. If so, that will piss a bunch of people off. I save probably $300-$500 a year having my buddy re-load for me.

Thats how they are going to BAN the GUNS by pricing AMMO so how you won't be able to Afford it and I have been hearing about this for 2 years plus. They were not succesful in Court just 6 months or so ago when the court ruled in our favor on the I think DC Gun Ban laws that were trown out. Next step is to TAX stuff so high you won't be able to afford it ;)

The DEMS have been talking about this for a WHILE so no suprise to me.
