Shelly's all excited, she's never heard anyone mention the name of the town she lived at in Russia for a year. No one has ever heard of it, but tonight they are in that town on the Amazing Race.

Just funny to see a place she's told me about so many times on a Game Show.

Yes. She's told us about it for years, but it was interesting to see it. She was there in the early 90's.

On the amazing race they stopped at a gas station and she saw a pepsi machine. When she was there there were no public gas stations like that and pepsi and other American stuff was non-existent. Cars looked newer too except for the goofy little cars they drove in the race. She said those were just about all you would see on the road in the 90's.

The huge rows of apartment buildings were the same too.

My wife went to Russia for a school trip in College she said it looks almost the exact same as back then (late 80's). It amazes me how they have so many HUGE buildings there with all concrete construction, it all seems just so cold and institutinal...
