A day I will never forget!

I don't see how anyone could forget what they were doing that day! I was at the foot steps of a 747 getting ready to go back home to Cherry Point N.C. with my unit from a deployment. We were in uniform had our packs on, and we were carrying our M-16's with us. We went into High Alert in minutes. We did not make it back home that day, and things were never the same in the military or in the civillian world. I do ask that we never forget. Two weeks after 9/11 everyone had an American flag sticker on there car. Now you don't see them at all. Don't ever let your guard down! Stay strong and never forget the power of Americans when we stand up and unite!

I don't know about the rest of the country but we haven't forgotten here!

You can ask almost anyone here, they have either a friend or a relative that they lost on 9/11.

God bless my cousin Lt. Timothy Higgins, Special Operations Group/Rescue 2, FDNY, your ultimate sacrifice in the service of others will never be forgotten!
