55g drum of sodium hypo. test drop results are in!!!

In an inadvertent test, I have concluded that a full 55 gal plastic drum can withstand a drop from 36 inches with no damage. *note* 36 inches just happens to be the height of a 3/4 chevy tailgate.

i was shocked the caps didn't pop of and bleach go everywhere. I had just picked it up and you know univar torques those caps 100 lbs

Thats why I buy mine in 15 gallon drums. I can handle those.

where do you get 15 gal. is it a national company. i would love to buy 15-30gal. Like you said, much easier to handle.

I buy from Univar. I love the 15 gallon drums. Much easier to handle and I can put one or two in the back of the truck with a drum pump when I need to carry a lot with me.

Most chem places should have it in the 15 and in 30. I love em. You pay a little more but its worth the hassle saved. I usually make my mix right in the 15 drum they give me and put my downstreamer line in it and im in business. No transfering into other buckets or tanks.
