501 squat by woman @148lbs

that's awesome Russ. I just started working out for the first time in May. I could barely get 135 8 times when I started. In 7 weeks I was up to 300. I've played sports my whole life mainly Basketball, and Baseball so I'm familiar with training, but never got into body building. I need to get back into it, I haven't had a chance to go since July...I can feel the difference too...it sucks.
 
I have never been a bodybuilder,i am more of a power lifter type ,but not a true powerlifter ,i mainly lift for strength.... i need to train better and heavier but i get a little lazy and dont push myself like i should ,and i need to work on my diet ....... not the loosing weight kind the growth kind ...... i should be taking in about 350 to 400 grams of protein a day but i bet i am barely getting 250........ junk food !!!!! the killer
 
You need to come down south and go to my cousin Joey Ladnier's gym.

Russ...to answer you pm..I was actually taking advice from Layne Norton. He didn't set up a specific plan for me, just some advice...he's a pro now. The guy is ripped and all natural.

Anyways, if you read all the way down, you could see that I was getting really strong but when I took measurments 2 months later, not much had changed...I was soooo disappointed.

I SAW THAT ,MY EXPERIENCE IS BE PATIENT AND KEEP DOING WHAT WORKS...... IF WHAT YOU WERE DOING DIDNT WORK THE WAY YOU WANTED IT TO ...CHANGE UP A BIT....ITS TRICKY WITHOUT A NUTRITIONIST INVOLVED....WISH I COULD TELL YOU MORE
 
Ladnier is a super cool guy. Very thick. I have been a competitive powerlifter for about 15 years. Have not lifted competitively in about 2 years my competition bests were 792 squat, 501 bench and 733 deadlift, 242lbs drug free.

We have a guy at our gym getting ready for the World Championships. 148lbs 716 squat, will bench almost 500, deadlift a little over 600 for hopefully a 1850 total. Drug Free, 22 years old. Caleb Williams. The guy that helps me clean is also going to the Worlds. 123lbs. 540 squat, 330 bench and 600+ deadlift. He is shooting to be only the 2nd person to ever deadlift over 5 times his bodyweight!!!

Joey is actually my Dad's cousin (my second cousin?) but is only a few years older than me. He was always nice to me when we were kids, but I only referred to him as a "little p*cker" because he's at least a hundred miles from me right now. :D
We haven't really been around each other much as adults. He did help me out when he was a cop once....
