We used the D9er's when we were excavating in NY, there huge.
 
D9's are big ass machines, but after running a D11 when I worked the American Girl Gold Mine in California, a D9 is like running a Gannon tractor.

We have a caterpillar testing grounds near Tucson by the mines. Whats crazy is the tailings are so tall the haul trucks look like matchbox cars at the top. They back up to the edge and let go, then its a landslide down. The tailings are like a glacier overtaking the desert, we hunt deer right next to them. No worries though, we got plenty of desert left. I drove my suzuki samurai through the lot one night and parked by a dump truck just to see what it looked like, wish I had a picture.
 
I saw someone with a huge articulating boom lift pressure washing the exterior (whoopee cushion) exterior of the new Cardinals Stadium last week. That would be a sweet gig, and probably a great paycheck. Any idea who the contractor is, or are the stadium personnel doing it themselves ?

I know that Las Vegas used to put on a heavy equipment show once a year. It had the biggest heavy construction equipment machine in the world there.

It took us 9 trucks to haul 1 machine over there and they had to put them together with giant cranes. These machines made that D11 look like a D4.
